Long-Term Running Goals:

I want to run althrough highschool.  I don't want to get injured.  I also think it would be awesome to run at some school for college.  Currently looking into Utah State, Weber State, UVU, and hopefully BYU sometime soon.  Not really sure where I will end up going.  I don't want to burn out and want to have fun.  Not really a reachable goal currently but if it did happen I would love to go to the olympics :).

I am a Junior that goes to Lone Peak High School (A world class high school).  I have been running since 7th grade. My Freshman track year I was on the border of varsity and got to race at most of the invites.  Sophomore year I was on varsity for everything but grass relays.  I plan to serve a 2 year LDS mission after my senior year in high school.

I like to hike, run, and eat.

The team decided to do a bike workout today because it was so cold outside which is good because I am feeling quite sick.  While dooing some burpies for strength training I had some trouble breathing and while on the bikes I wasn't doing good.  I hope I can get better soon and that this won't negitivly impact the track season to com because that would suck.

Felt suprisingly good today because I am still quite sick.  About 2 miles in at the bottom of the canyon I started coughing so hard I throwed up a little bit.  We ran to the canyon than ran till we got 4.5 up.  Headed down until we found this old little shack and so Justin and Galen went to the bathroom in it I think.  Ran the rest of the way back.  The last 3 miles were really cold because there was a big head wind.  A solid pace all the way through.  

Good run other than the bad cough.  It was worse when I stopped running so I tried to keep running as much as possible.

Took it easy today.  My sickness is still here and its is now mainly a huge cough.  I had a big coughing fit today in health and my teacher was getting really worried.  But don't worry.  I'm still alive.  I will probably take a short break so I can recover fast because galen told me that would be smart.

no run today.  Galen said i should probably just recover from being sick so thats what Im doing.  I have to do some kind of journal for a seminary PJS thing which is prayer journal and scriptures.  We get a t shirt if we do.  

ESPN is broadcasting the LP game against some new jersy team.  It cost 10$ so I don't think im going to go.

Ran actually really fast today.  Went down to discovery but went on the canal at the begining.  the top group was going like sub 6 pace for the first 4ish miles but I was going like 6:10.  Went back but not as fast.

I found some endorphins LD4 on Amazon for 18.99$ but they were only in size 11 11.5 12 12.5.  So if you are that size go check it out.

Today we ran in the morning.  I don't really like running in the morning.  We ran to a bunch on stake centers in alpine. I ran by myself for lots of it because I fell behind.

Today was probly the best run I have had in a while.  We stayed at around 7:30 pace for the first 20 minutes and than we started our 4x2 tempos.  It felt really good.  We went on the canal and out to the top of the big dip by smiths.  Felt great today.  I love running when the sun is out and it feels amazing.  

Shout to Runningwarehouse.com because I got some endorphin LD4 last night from them after UtahRun didn't have any to ad match.

I am quite excited to race on friday night because I am feeling GREAT.

Today we ran down to AF and went one lap around the track than the grass relays loop.  We ran back part of the way with AF team cuz we found them on the way.  My body feels great but my lungs are still struggling a little bit from crap that got in them from when I was sick.  Or it might just be in my throught area but idk.  Good times.

Race today at teh ice oval.  I felt good before the race and on the warmup.  Did like 5 minutes of biking warmup and than went over to get seeded.  I was going to go for like 4:50 group but Ryan told me to do the 4:45 group.  I started out all right.  Mentally I stayed there this race but I started falling behind the top group in the end of the second to last lap.  Tried to pick it up but I couldn't catch them.  Time isn't great but at least I felt not too dead after the race because last race here at the oval I could barely even walk after.  Went to Cafe Rio after.  The team payed for that so that was cool.  I can't believe I got beat by the star valley speedsters little brother again.

Long distance run today.  We started by going up hogs but it got really snowy and hard to run so we quit that and headed back down.  We than went on the roads and did 4 mile loop.  I kindof died after like 7 miles.  Good run altogether tho.  It was me Jamison Galen Zack Craik Spencer Smith and Justin.

Today we ran on the first part of high bench but it got really snowy once we got on spring so we turned back and went back and than did timberline loop.  Was slightly under 9 so we ran down the road and back.  Pretty fast today for the majority of it.

Great run today.  We ran on mountain run trail and had a good time.  We than went down on the hill workout hill and to legacy.  Than back on alpine highway.  We did 6x100 strides after with the last a tactical race.  It was fun.  Currently I am 9th man on the team for the mile and that is completly unacceptable so I am going to do everything I can to change than.  Going to do some strength training tonight.

Today we ran the RADvendture run.  We ran for a while and found that the girls were trying to follow us so we lost them and than went to the place where there is usally 2 different lakes.  One of them was drained but the other one was still working.  we than ran down to art dye and back to the school.  Good times.

Good run today.  20 minutes up  It was a 4x2minute.  Fun times.  Distances were .43 .43 .42 .43.  I felt quite swell.  I had a really long nice entry but it somehow got deleted so I am just doing a short one now.  We showed galen our pole that we brought up from art dye yesterday.  For Tomorrow, Operation Get The Other One.  Was just about 5:00 pace so the distances don't match that pace but whatever.

Good run today.  We did one 15 minute modest run and than went down a little past AF and came back up.  On the way up we got the second pole and put it by the other pole we brought up on wednesday. Good times.  Than I got a ride home with Chris on his moped.  It was sweet.

Our run today was wierd.  We did bonneville and on the way out the wind didn't seem that bad.  We turned around a little over 4 out.  We started heading back and it was like the clouds just opened up and the snow came down like crazy.  I wasn't wearing a hat and so it was freezing on my forehead.  It was like really hard to see also.  15 minutes after that snow storm it was like 45 degrees.  I guess thats Utah weather.

7.5 on mountain run out to the road that it crosses and back.

My leg started feeling really tight on the last 3 of the run.  Then we had strength training after which was tough.  I hope my leg gets feeling better.  I rolled it out with my roller.

Today we had our first hill workout of the year.  It was 6x600 meter hills.  Times were good but I started out slightly fast.  Times were 2:03 2:06 2:06 2:13 2:10 2:10.  Great workout today.  Times are lots faster than last time we did a hill workout on this hill.

Good run today.  We did 3 miles during lunch than went back to the school to get marked here on the roll.  Than we got the rest of the guys and went to the 2 POLLS because we carried those many miles.  Than we went down to the pond and did a good old modest run.  We played 2 games.  12 minutes each.  The first game I got just about 1.2 miles.  Second game I got like 1.6.  I had a good chase with Justin chasing me and than a good chase chasing Jamison.  It was fun.  We did strides barefooted on the foot ball field after.

Today we ran in the morning.  It felt really nice.  We started at 5:45 which didn't feel as early as it usally does.  We did discovery.  It was me zack Jamie Ryan and steven.  Ryan was murmuring like laman and lemuel while we were on the road.  Good times tho.

Today we did a new run.  We call it the couch run.  We ran up to the hill workout hill and than to high bench and spring.  Went up to the bathrooms but there was lots of snow on the spring trail so we decided we would go up to a trail that we saw up on the mountain.  While we were getting up to that trail we ran past a bunch of couchs just sitting outside under this tree.  That is why it is called the couch run.  We kept running up that trail and went up to where sliding rock is.  Down the normal way from sliding rock and than dumpster once we got back.  Great run today.

Run today to extended alpine loop.  I felt pretty sluggish today.  We ended up going pretty fast once we got past the stop light on on alpine highway.  We have a progression run tomorrow which will be tough.
