today I ran by myself.  I took my knockoff gopro and took some pics.  Check out my most recent insta photo.  I ran up on bonneville for the first part and than I went down to the canal.  It was a good time.  Once I got on the canal I was going about 6:10 average pace.  was a good time.

Goal for this year for running is to qualify for state in the 3200 and to get 2016 miles.

today it was me spencer zack steven and spencer cuz the rest of the guys ran early in the morning.  we ran up to where bonneville starts  than went  to the canyon ran a little over 1 mile up that and than back down to the school than to the pond around it and back up to the school.  good times.  when we were trying to get home spencer car wouldn't start so after we tried for a minute I just decided I would walk.  Than when I was at the stop light some girl from my math class asked if that car wasn't working and offered to give me a ride so I took her up on that offer and she gave me a ride home.  I don't really know her very well but she was pretty good looking.

Today we did a modest run but before we did pole dance and after we did to the canal bathrooms than we had strenth training.  We did a card deck.  Spades were situps diamonds were burpees harts were push ups and clubs were squats.  Than all aces were ladders.  was pretty hard but I don't know if i was doing it right because I didn't feel any major burn I just felt tired so who knows.  

Shoutout to the bruja of LP bcuz she was gone today.

Today we ran during the track class which was really nice.  We did alpine loop except we went back on timpanogus highway instead of alpine highway.  After we did boxing matchs.  We did it  random and me and chris got pulled out first and he destroyed me.  22 seconds in he got a nice shot right on the side of my head and I was out of the match from there.  It hurt really bad for like 5-10 minutes but after that it kind of went away.  I was kind of fazed tho.

I guess Shoutout to chris for destroying me in boxing.

ran in the morning today.  First time Ive been there in the morning.  we just ran on teh canal.  It was really boring.  I felt super dead too.  I had to stop at the bathroom.  Wasn't a good run over all.  Durning lunch today me craik and justin were playing ultimate paper football and craik caught it and through it and it hit me right in the eye.  It hurt.  I still have a little black dot in my eye.  But it will probably go away soon.

Not a great time today but who cares!?!?!  I wasn't really prepared for the speed that goes into teh mile.  I got withing 10 seconds of my last years PR so that good.  We haven't done any speed workouts yet so this was a good first race.  It was just fun to lace up again.  I wanted to win my heat but I had a terrible starting postion.  

Will probably do more tonight or this afternoon.

Shoutout to Dom for winning the 60 meter trails today.

PM:  Went up on bonneville.  Felt really good considering I raced early in teh day.  Around mile 3 I started feeling those 3 Krispy Kreme donuts I ate early that today.  But overall an easy run.

Today we did alpine loop.  It was pretty fun.  For the first few miles we were probably just under 7 than we started speeding up.  Once we got on alpine highway we were just about 6:00 pace.  Untill the last 3/4 of a mile of alpine highway we were going like 5:20 pace.  knee hurt a littkle bit today.  Some strides afterwards with galen justin and spencer smith.  One tactical race for teh last stride.

Did some very easy strength training. Im going to my friends party tonight so that should be fun.

Uping the milage up this week.  We did canyon and it was a lot colder than I thought so i was wearing shorts and a short sleeve T shirt.  It kind of sucked.  We ran from Lone peak to the timpanogus cave trail.  It was slightly over 4.5 up.  The muslce on my legs on the front kind of by my shin started hurting.  I just stayed like a quarter mile behind everyone else on the down hill part.  Hopefully its nothing big.  Just rolled them out and my calves.  Pretty fast today also.  Around 7:00 on the up way.  6:30 on the way down.  I was hoping to be able to do the 4x800 with some people but I guess they already have a team so I might try to make one with will and some other people.

Today we were only suppose to do 9 but we went slightly overboard.  We ran to AF high did a lap on that track than to AF jr. high and did a lap there.  Than we went to mountain ridge and did a lap there and went inside to go look around.  We looked at the records.  Than we ran back and completed the circut by running a lap at LP.  Had some strenth training after.  On our run around art dye I slipped and fell and kindof hurt my hip.  A slight amount of blood was draw.

Shoutout to Patrick parker for running a 4:47 mile in 7th grade.

The team decided to do a bike workout today because it was so cold outside which is good because I am feeling quite sick.  While dooing some burpies for strength training I had some trouble breathing and while on the bikes I wasn't doing good.  I hope I can get better soon and that this won't negitivly impact the track season to com because that would suck.

Felt suprisingly good today because I am still quite sick.  About 2 miles in at the bottom of the canyon I started coughing so hard I throwed up a little bit.  We ran to the canyon than ran till we got 4.5 up.  Headed down until we found this old little shack and so Justin and Galen went to the bathroom in it I think.  Ran the rest of the way back.  The last 3 miles were really cold because there was a big head wind.  A solid pace all the way through.  

Good run other than the bad cough.  It was worse when I stopped running so I tried to keep running as much as possible.

Today was probly the best run I have had in a while.  We stayed at around 7:30 pace for the first 20 minutes and than we started our 4x2 tempos.  It felt really good.  We went on the canal and out to the top of the big dip by smiths.  Felt great today.  I love running when the sun is out and it feels amazing.

Race today at teh ice oval.  I felt good before the race and on the warmup.  Did like 5 minutes of biking warmup and than went over to get seeded.  I was going to go for like 4:50 group but Ryan told me to do the 4:45 group.  I started out all right.  Mentally I stayed there this race but I started falling behind the top group in the end of the second to last lap.  Tried to pick it up but I couldn't catch them.  Time isn't great but at least I felt not too dead after the race because last race here at the oval I could barely even walk after.  Went to Cafe Rio after.  The team payed for that so that was cool.  I can't believe I got beat by the star valley speedsters little brother again.

Good run today.  20 minutes up  It was a 4x2minute.  Fun times.  Distances were .43 .43 .42 .43.  I felt quite swell.  I had a really long nice entry but it somehow got deleted so I am just doing a short one now.  We showed galen our pole that we brought up from art dye yesterday.  For Tomorrow, Operation Get The Other One.  Was just about 5:00 pace so the distances don't match that pace but whatever.

Our run today was wierd.  We did bonneville and on the way out the wind didn't seem that bad.  We turned around a little over 4 out.  We started heading back and it was like the clouds just opened up and the snow came down like crazy.  I wasn't wearing a hat and so it was freezing on my forehead.  It was like really hard to see also.  15 minutes after that snow storm it was like 45 degrees.  I guess thats Utah weather.

Good run today.  We did 3 miles during lunch than went back to the school to get marked here on the roll.  Than we got the rest of the guys and went to the 2 POLLS because we carried those many miles.  Than we went down to the pond and did a good old modest run.  We played 2 games.  12 minutes each.  The first game I got just about 1.2 miles.  Second game I got like 1.6.  I had a good chase with Justin chasing me and than a good chase chasing Jamison.  It was fun.  We did strides barefooted on the foot ball field after.

Today we did a new run.  We call it the couch run.  We ran up to the hill workout hill and than to high bench and spring.  Went up to the bathrooms but there was lots of snow on the spring trail so we decided we would go up to a trail that we saw up on the mountain.  While we were getting up to that trail we ran past a bunch of couchs just sitting outside under this tree.  That is why it is called the couch run.  We kept running up that trail and went up to where sliding rock is.  Down the normal way from sliding rock and than dumpster once we got back.  Great run today.

33 laps on the track 2 laps on the grass inside the track.  Progression run today.  Goal times were supposed to be 7:30 pace first mile 7:00 6:30 6:00 5:40 5:30 5:20 5:10.  I got the first four with not too much struggling.  On the 5:40 I started struggling but stayed with the group.  On the 5:30 I was with them for the first lap then started dropping back.  I had a hard time getting air into the lungs.  I ended up getting around 5:55 for the 5:30 goal one.  Stopped took a drink and kept going at a slower pace.  Ended up going pretty fast again with another mile at 6:00.  Fast run today.  Did a couple laps barefoot and than ice bath.

Today we had a tri meet against AF and Lehi.  The top guys didn't go so it was me and some other people.  We played some cards which jonas started making me really annoyed.  In the mile, I started out pretty good.  Was in the lead by about 400 meters and just kindof back off and let this lehi dude lead.  Doing great till the last lap and some lehi chump passed me and steven.  Tried to catch him again but never got him.  In the 800, Asa from lehi took it out hard.  I just followed him.  In the last 200 I kicked and passed him with about 130 to go.  Not really sure on my time but thats just a guess.  On the way there it was really boring but the way back I just talked with Aubrie and Emily.  We might go hiking some time so that should be fun.

Today we did a workout.  It was me craik seth and kaleb doing our workout.  The people that are racing did 8x400.  2 miles up and than 1200 800 600 400.  On the 1200 we came through really slow on the first 400 so we picked it up from there and ended up with 3:45.  On the 800 we got a pretty solid time 2:25.  On the 600 we got 1:49.  On the 400 we ran it with the other dudes.  I came through at 67.  Craik and seth came through at like 58 on that last one which is very impressive.

Driving down to cali tomorrow.  We are taking courtneys van which the Wii can connect with so we will be playing lots of Smash Bros and Mario Kart.

Did the 100 meter crabwalk today.  The old school record was set by Galen with a time of 1:13.  We had 4 people break that.  Craik came out with the "W" with a time of 48 seconds thrashing the old school record.  Zack got 62.  Russel got 68.  Galen Got 69.  We are trying to get the final results on milesplit so keep your eyes out.

Race today.  I did the 3200.  Felt reletivly good.  My time made me really mad tho.  I still haven't PRed my mile or 2 mile yet this season.  I got out around the usal that I do.  I was in the back of the pack for the whole first lap.  I moved up behind craik by the 3rd lap and stuck with him.  I tried to pass a couple times but he would speed up when I tried to so I didn't until the 6th lap.  I passed him with just about 1100 to go and went to catch austin hinckley.  I could tell craik didn't want me to pass him because he doesn't like that I still have 1 pr faster than him.  I slowly inched up on Austin Hinckley and caught him in the last 50 of the race.  I felt tired but I felt like I still had quite a bit left in me so next time I'll do better.

Got to the meet around 8:15.  The bus left at like 7:00.  Hung out by some trees for the majority of the morning until it was time to start warming up.  We started warming up at aproximatly 9:48.23 and went to see if we needed any stickers from the best track coach Mr. Brad Molen.  He said we would get them on the field so we headed out like a herd of wild turkeys squaking and cauking and having a good time.  We warmed up for 1.5 Miles than went to get our spikes to do some strides.  I did 4 strides for approximately 97.3 yards each.  I got to the line up and they were just calling my name and so it was perfect timing.  I did some of my leg shakeouts and than did a couple jumps to get my body ready.  I went out onto the line and I was on the second curve so I had to stay to the outside till 100 in.  I got a good start but got passed by a bunch of people because I don't usally go out very fast.  By 200 I had moved up right behind some dude behind micheal hinkley.  We came through at a 66 which was pretty fast.  Next lap I stuck with those 2 dudes until the end of the 2nd lap when micheal started to fade.  The other dude took the lead and I followed him.  We came through on teh second lap 71-72.  Thrid lap I stuck with him until about 50 left in that lap then I passed him and took the lead.  72 3rd lap.  I lead most of the 4th lap.  I gave it all I had but got outkicked by the nerdiest dude.  Still happy with my race because an 8 seocnd PR.  Cooled down 3.5.

Warmed up about 2 miles than went to the infield to get my sticker.  Did a couple laps around the bull pin and did some strides.  I was seeded 5th in my heat but the 4th place dude didn't show up.  I got to the line and had a good starting postion.  They shot the gun and the 3 guys that were on the inside all sprinted up really fast so I had a nice easy lane 1 opened up to me.  I got into lane one and just kindof sat for the rest of that lap.  On the second lap I started moving up on the curve to pass craik but than he moved out of lane 1 and pushed me out even more which I sure he didn't mean to do but it kindof annoyed me at the time.  I stayed there until 800 in and saw that Ben Berlin from Timpanogus was starting to lose the pack so I moved up past the 2nd place dude and caught up to him in about 300 meters.  First mile was 4:54-4:55.  I stuck with him for the whole rest of the race until we had 800 to go.  He pulled away from me and I didn't have anything to match that.  On my second to last lap I ran a 80 so that kindof killed me.  First lap was 72 the rest were 75ish until the 2nd to last 80 than last was 75.  Kindof a bummer I didn't break 10 but I will hopefully at region.  Ended up getting passed in the last 50 by some rocks springs nube.  I hate getting passed in the last 100 but I didn't have anything left so WHATEVER.

2 miles up with some strides.  Got to the line and felt pretty good.  Gun went off and it was probably the most pushy start i've ever been in.  Kindof ironic how the least important race of the season has a pushy start.  Just stuck with the pack the first lap.  I was trapped in really bad so it took the whole second lap to get out of that.  When I was trying to move up to the front I was in teh third lane and was like that for half of the curve.  Was with teh top group until the last lap and then they pulled away.  I wish I would have stayed up there because I think I could have.  I need to learn how to race good.  2 mile cool down with AF.  1 mile warmup for my 800.  did some strides and than got to the line.  Didn't really feel like going super hard.  I got like a 2:15ish.

Root Beer mile today.  We had a good show out today and had to buy 144 cans of root beer.  Eugene from uintah traveled like 4 hours to come, joe benson from timp camp a bunch of lehi guys and a couple PG dudes.   So onto the race.  The first can went down pretty easy.  I took off right behind Galen.  I got to the second can and stuggled getting it down.  The third can was tough but the forth really was hard to get down.  Got a 4:55 minute PR from last year so that was sick.  We have our banquet for track tonight and they are getting costa vida so thats cool.

If we can get all of those people to do XC that would be sick.  I ran for most of the run in the very back with this kid named Jonny.  He said he usallaly does 2 miles so he did good.

I was goign to do ragnar with my boy eugene but then some stuff came up and it was kindof last minute so I cant.

Really excited to see what I can do this year becasue I was not pushing it my hardest and I still came out with a sub 17.

Im racing the Kaysville 5k next monday and I am pumped.  I feel like I could definetly get around 16:20 if the course is anything like the guns and hoses 5k that I did.  It starts on the track and then there is some up hill but its short and then down hill for first mile, up hill for the second mile and slightly downhill untill you hit the hill you went up at beginning then back onto the track.  Kaysville 5k

Started out on bonneville but when I hit about 3 miles I realized I really need to poop.  I headed down to the MCT and went into the bathroom.  I sat on the toliet and noticed someone was in the stall right next to me.  I thought, "Its a saturday.  I've got nothing after this run.  I'm scotch... tape im so dang clear of anything.  So I decided to let out at blood curdiling scream that sounded something like "AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHH".  Then the guy in to other stall screamed almost just as loud and ran off.  But I look from where I was sitting on the pot and the guy had left his pants in the bathroom!!!  So I was like "Wow I must have scared his pants off."   I finished my pooping and went outside and a matinence guy was out there.  And so I was like, "Some guy forgot his pants in there."  And his responce was the greatest thing I have ever heard.  He said, "AGAIN, FREAKIN AGAIN!!"  So it turns out that there are other crazy people like me.  But back to my run.  I ran to discovery park from there and then to AF and then to LP and back to my house.  It was an interesting day.

Today we had the Alpine days 5k.  Giot there at like 6:30 and went to warm up.  Warmed up a little less then 2 miles and then did some strides.  Went over to the line and we had a delay while we were sitting on the line.  Did another couple strides and then we toed the line.  Ryan started us and we were off.  Kaleb sprinted to the front which I thought was kindof funny but he beat me.  I stayed back with trevor and steven for the first 1/2 mile and then they fell back so I went and caught up to litttle warner and they at about the mile mark I was 20-30 feet behind kaleb and craik and justin.  Zack and seth had taken off.  I moved up a little bit and dropped the gap to about 15 feet.  When we got to the cemetary hill Craik and Kaleb pulled away hard.  I caught craik on the down hill and then we went for kaleb.   We were running together for like the last 1/2 mile until they started pulling away.  With about 100 left I tried to kick with everythning I had left but Kaleb and Craik beat me by like 5 seconds.  Its a real bummer becasue now I wont be on the grass relays team most likely.  Cooled down 5 miles in 3 different little runs.

I hit 68 miles this week so thats cool.

Today we had our first interval workout.  We warmed up 2 miles and with the last half ish we set out the course at crrekside park.  We started out on our 1000s.  times were 3:07 3:09 3:12 3:11 3:14.  I kindof got tired by the end.  Slowly cooled down until 8 miles.  Zack and the rest of my car of people we took wanted to go to stake dodgeball so they went and then I took the car and went to ice in the canyon.  When I was about 6 minutes in I saw someone walk up.  I could really tell who it was because it was getting kindof dark but then I heard galens voice say my name.  He was out on his nightly run.  We talked for a little bit and then he headed out to finish his run so SHOUTOUT to galen.  Icing felt really nice tonight.

Today we headed up into lambert and then we ran 5 mile loop plus timberline loop.  We did a 4 mile tempo in the middle of our run.  First mile was just about 6:00 then the next was 5:45 then 5:45 then 6:05.  The first and last were probabaly a little bit fast because we started 4.19 miles in and I forgot to do a lap so whatever.  Felt pretty good today.  I have been having zack roll me out after running and I think it is helping my legs bc yesterday I could like bearly move.

2.45 warmup.  Trevor and I warmed up a little bit early because they were like 20 minutes behind.  But I jsut kept myself moving.  Went to the bull pin and chilled there.  Did some strides at the line.  The first gun went off and like noone was even ready.  But I still had a good start.  Of course someone had to trip and make the race be called back.  On the second gun I had a little worse of a start but still not bad.  I stuck towards the front but never led.  This kid wearing a black shirt took it out sprinting which I always find kindof funny.  By about a half mile in, it was me and a bunch of davis kids.  I stuck with the top group of them which was the top group of the race.  Coming through a mile it was me and 3 davis kids.  One other davis kid was close but he tripped on the gaulet so sucks to be him. We went through with a half mile left and it was the same order.  Jacob Vaugn had pulled away from us which I didn't really notice.  When we got to the striaght away before the gaulet I caught 1 of the 2 davis kids by me and after the gaulet I caught the other.  I was happy with my time but wish I would have went with the other davis kid.  I beat craik and kaleb which made me happy.  Cooled down 2.1 and then ran around cheering for the relays teams which got me 4.5.  Lots of miles today for a race.

PM:  Reffed 2 long hot games so I went to ice after doign those.

Happy with the day.  And the black light dance is tonight so im PUMPED!!!!

Raced today.  I was happy with my time.  Ryan wanted us to push it and go faster then we think we really should have on the first mile- two miles and see what we could do on the 3rd mile.  First mile was 5:01, next was 5:20 and so then my last was 5:17.  My first mile was my fastest but it felt super easy.  I don't know why because I have never felt like a 5 minute mile was easy.  Once I race smart at region I should be able to do alot better.  And we havent done really much speed so I still have somewhere that I can go.  Excited for the season.

2.3 ish warmup with some strides.  The guy that said set was super quiet so it was hard to hear.  Luckly I saw his arm go up tho.  The race started out pretty slow but then about a 100 meters in all the slow people in the back trapped craik kaleb and I.  I just pointed where I was going and went.  Nobody tripped so thats good.  In the first mile I probably passed like 150 people.  I had a bunch of davis guys that I was right behind until I hit the hills.  Then I lost them.  I wish I would have just surged down the hill better and caught them again.  I also wish the course was actually a 3 mile.  But whatever.  Cooled down a little over 4 miles.

Hogs this beautiful morning.  Had to adventure around the security guards and went up over the big hill instead of around it.  It was a good time.  Last couple miles were pretty fast becasue we were trying to get back for Prefootlocker at AF to go watch.  Casey won mckay got second and Patrick was 3rd.  then grant gardner then Joe benson.
